搞砸

 

最近携帯でよく見ている中国のドラマの中で＜搞砸 ＞というのが字幕に出てきた。場面からはすぐには意味がわからなかったのでチェックしてみた。

なぜか Baike-baidu に解説がない。Wiki には

搞砸 gǎo zá

（口語) 做錯，做得不好

 という簡単な解説がある。

＜砸＞は zá と発音する。以前に＜砸坏、砸＞のタイトルのポストで簡単に触れたことがある。最近携帯でよく見ている中国のドラマの中ではよく出てくるが、たいていは意味がわからない。＜砸＞の基本的な意味は

Baike-baidu

砸zá　为重物掉落在物体上，或用重物撞击。

to smash, to break, to drop

でこの意味で使われることもある。＜砸坏＞はまだ元の意味が残っている。。

砸坏　zá huài 　打破、毀損。如：「因地震倒塌的屋頂，砸壞了家中所有的物品。」

一方＜搞＞の方は

搞gǎo　本义指　做，干，办，弄。

で＜する＞の意味。＜做，干，办，弄＞はいずれも＜する＞だが、使い分け、というか、セットフレーズ的なものが多く、いちいち覚えないといけない。

＜搞砸 ＞も＜砸坏＞と似たところがるが、物理的に＜壊 (こわ) す＞ というよりは to spoil　＜ダメにする＞の意のようだ。＜ダメにする＞以外に＜(試験などに) 失敗する＞の意がある。なぜか、英語の解説が非常にくわしい。例文には＜搞砸 ＞が使われていないものもある。
